I recently ordered the .Audio 655 to replace my old Plantronics DSP 500, which I absolutely cherished (for about 5 yrs except the mic stopped working). I was once hesitant to purchase a headset that had no reviews, but up to now I am very satisfied.
I use Skype steadily and everybody says the sound quality of my mic is great (although they stated the same with the DSP 500). The mic itself is hooked up to a stiff piece of plastic that swivels very smoothly (I don't look forward to it loosening any).
The USB cable is beautiful skinny, though lots lengthy. I really feel like I want to be cautious with it round my kitten.
